General

About PlayWell

What is PlayWell?
PlayWell is a sports and recreation readiness company providing practical resources, education, and onsite support for the places people play.
What are PlayWell's core services?
Two. PlayWell Stations are staffed onsite support for activity days, and PlayWell Ready is ongoing readiness support between events.
Who does PlayWell serve?
Teams, leagues, clubs, facilities, tournaments and events, and recreation programs — plus the brands and organizations that help fund them.
Is PlayWell only for youth sports?
No. PlayWell serves both youth and adult sports and recreation contexts.
Where does PlayWell currently operate?
PlayWell is currently focused on serving sports and recreation organizations across Greater Houston. Availability outside the area is not yet confirmed, and availability also depends on dates, location, and current capacity. Share your dates and location in Get Started and PlayWell will assess fit and availability.
PlayWell Stations

Onsite support

What is a PlayWell Station?
A staffed, visible PlayWell support point at games, tournaments, races, camps, and other sports and recreation activities. PlayWell Station and RESPOND Station refer to the same onsite support depending on context.
Who staffs a Station?
PlayWell assigns the appropriate qualified professional based on the event and our approved staffing framework. Depending on the assignment, this may be an athletic trainer or a nurse. A Station Assistant may support nonclinical operations when the accepted staffing plan includes one.
What support is available at a Station?
Hydration and cooling support, organized readiness resources, basic first-aid support within assigned scope, emergency recognition and escalation, readiness resources, and incident documentation.
Is a Station medical coverage?
A Station is not automatically comprehensive medical coverage. It is not emergency medical services, not a clinic, and it does not replace coverage required by an organizer, venue, or governing body. Assigned licensed professionals operate within their credential and assignment.
Can a Station be used indoors and outdoors?
Yes. PlayWell-branded setups are used in both indoor and outdoor venues.
PlayWell Ready

Ongoing readiness

What is PlayWell Ready?
The ongoing readiness service between events. It includes RESPOND Packs, Training & Education, and Equipment Access / Supply. Explore PlayWell Ready.
What is a RESPOND Pack?
A PlayWell-managed readiness resource within PlayWell Ready that keeps useful supplies organized, maintained, and ready for teams, clubs, facilities, leagues, and programs.
How is a RESPOND Pack different from a first-aid kit?
A kit gets purchased. A RESPOND Pack gets managed — checked, restocked, inspected, and refreshed on a recurring cycle.
Does a RESPOND Pack include onsite staff?
No. Staffed onsite support is a PlayWell Station.
What is Training & Education?
Practical readiness education and orientation within PlayWell's approved scope, focused on how organizations prepare, use their resources, and respond. It is not certification training.
What is Equipment Access / Supply?
Access to approved readiness and emergency equipment through supplier, affiliate, or partner relationships, with practical support for organizing and using those resources.
What is the Readiness Assessment?
A self-reported readiness snapshot that shows what’s already in place, what may need attention, and practical next steps. Take the assessment.
Does PlayWell certify an organization as safe or compliant?
No. The Readiness Assessment is not a certification, safety grade, compliance review, medical assessment, or guarantee of emergency readiness.
